Levels are; Peer Support/Para Professional: $16-$17/hr. AP:$17-$20/hr. QP:$21.63-$23.07/hr. Available Shifts: 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am. Summary: Responsible for providing support and care to meet the physical and psychological needs of consumers through providing direct and indirect care. BHUC is a 24-hour behavioral health urgent care service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provides supervision and monitoring of each consumer. Assist with and model appropriate daily living skills. • Document any reported or observed symptoms of consumers and report to the team. • Participate in Shift Report • Provide transportation • All other duties as assigned by supervisor Special Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills and belief in consumer’s ability to recover. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. A desire to work with individuals with severe mental illness and substance abuse issues. Education and/or Experience: Tech I: • Para Professional services are delivered by staff who have the life experience of being diagnosed with a serious mental illness or substance addiction problem, and are currently in recovery, stable, and living without relapses. The Paraprofessional has a high school diploma, or GED and at least five years of life experience with a serious mental illness or substance addiction. • Peer Support - Requires Peer Support Certification. • AP - requires high school diploma and at least one year of appropriate experience. Or Bachelor’s degree in the field with no experience. Tech II: • QP- requires bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling or another Human Services field. Qualified Professional (QP) required.
