Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Manager to join our Digital Services team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of proven experience managing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions and teams. This hands-on role requires deep Business Central functional expertise, technical understanding of BC and complementary Microsoft 365 applications, resource management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering solutions that drive business value. The candidate will be known for implementing scalable Business Central solutions within scope, timeline, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the delivery lead during projects, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and support ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Analyze client business processes and recommend best practices to optimize workflows within Business Central.
• Design and document functional specifications for customizations and integrations.
• Customize and configure the system to meet client-specific business requirements.
• Work with technical teams to design and implement integrations with third-party systems and applications.
• Develop or oversee the creation of reports, dashboards, and other analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) within Business Central.
• Conduct client-facing workshops, training sessions, user acceptance testing support, and demonstrations for stakeholders and end users.
• Provide post-implementation support to address user issues and optimize system performance.
• Act as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead and mentor staff consultants, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and client stakeholders, to deliver successful implementations.
• Consult with clients on Microsoft mid-market technologies by investigating their business needs and discussing new opportunities.
• Engage with account managers and clients during the pre-sales cycle to collect necessary information to draft project plans and statements of work.
Qualifications
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting D365 Business Central.
• Proven track record of implementing multiple end-to-end Business Central solutions.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Business Central modules, financial management, inventory and warehouse management, manufacturing, purchasing, and reporting features.
• Strong knowledge of Business Central ISVs, extensions, AL programming, and integration tools (e.g., Dataverse, APIs, etc.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Fabric).
• Familiarity with Azure services, Microsoft 365, and other complementary Microsoft technologies.
• Ability to define, create and complete project deliverables with minimal guidance.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience presenting to executive level stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively lead and coach project teams.
• Education & Certifications:
• Degree in Accounting, Computer Science or Business Administration
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications are strongly preferred.
• Additional certifications in related Microsoft technologies are a plus.
