Job Summary: Support, Serve, and Elevate the Game As a Tennis Attendant, you’ll play a key role in the daily operations of Palma Ceia’s prestigious tennis program. From assisting with lessons and matches to preparing courts and welcoming players, your energy and attention to detail will help create a first-class experience for every member and guest. What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities): • Court Readiness: Prepare, maintain, and clean tennis courts to ensure a professional playing environment throughout the day. • Player Support: Assist coaches and members during lessons, matches, and events with equipment setup, scorekeeping, and logistics. • Member Service: Greet and engage players with warmth and professionalism, offering assistance and creating a welcoming atmosphere. • Tennis Operations: Organize and distribute tennis balls, towels, water, and other amenities. Monitor equipment and report issues as needed. • Event Assistance: Support the coordination of tournaments, clinics, and social events—before, during, and after each occasion. • Safety & Standards: Ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed across tennis facilities. • Communication: Act as a liaison between members, coaches, and the Tennis Director regarding scheduling or special requests. • Additional Tasks: Step in to support related duties as needed to help the tennis team run smoothly and efficiently. Physical Requirements: • Stand, walk, and remain active for long periods, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions. • Frequently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs (e.g., court equipment, event materials). • Perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching. • Stay alert and energized throughout long shifts and busy event days. Working Conditions: This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, humidity, sun, and rain. Exposure to cleaning products and outdoor maintenance equipment may occur. What You Bring: • A positive, professional attitude and a passion for service. • Previous experience in a tennis or recreational sports environment is a plus. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and event days. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
